Silvia Lehrer has studied cooking at the Cordon Bleu, La Varenne, and with such individual masters as Jacques Pepin, Giuliano Bugiali, Simca Bec, Marcella Hazan, and James Beard. She is the founder of Cooktique, a cooking school hailed by the New York Times as “one of the best and most comprehensive cooking schools in the nation.” Silvia Lehrer has been designated a Certified Culinary Professional by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. She is a founding member of the James Beard Foundation and a member of Slow Food International. She lives with her husband, Fred, in Water Mill in the Hamptons.
